I served in the Arizona Army National Guard from 1965 to 1973. My first MOS was 11B10 (Light Weapons Infantry) for 5 years and I obtained the rank of SSG.

My 2nd MOS was 95B (Military Police) for 3 years. I graduated on the Commandant's List at OCS, Ft. Benning, GA and commanded the AZNG unit at Safford, AZ for nearly two years.

Duncan suffered flooding in October 1972. The Safford AZNG unit under my command provided security and support in Duncan for 5 days.
